Stoltz, Whitener Claim Cups at ProSolo Finale

The Tire Rack ProSolo Finale from Lincoln was the ultimate cattle drive, bringing the highest quality beef from across the country to settle the top ProSolo drivers from 2024 in one final swoop.

With a full house of 284 drivers, there was no way a weekend win or a championship was going to be just handed to anyone.

So with Jason Bucki and Jennifer Bedell taking the Challenge battles and Eric Stoltz and Kim Whitener winning the wars in Open and Ladies competition, respectively, it was an earned title.

Across the season, Stoltz stood tall with a victor in Vegas and a third place at Packwood. That Packwood podium in the final event of the regular season would prove to be the difference, as he moved into the point lead heading for Lincoln.

On site, he finished the job. He finished the class runs second in his Street Touring Sport Mazda Miata, earning the 12th qualifying position for the Challenge. That put him through to Knockout Qualifier 3, and though he didn’t advance to the final had racked up enough points to secure his first Johnson-Clarke Johnson Cup.

On the weekend, Jason Bucki whipped through the field to take the event win. Bucki was second in his Porsche 911 GT3 in the Super Street class competition, then rolled through the field in eliminations before taking down Sam Mayorga in the final.

Kim Whitener expanded her career record for most Fletcher Cups, adding a seventh trophy to the mantle for an impressive 2024 season. Whitener topped Ladies Class 3 in her STX-prepared Scion FRS, then did enough in the bracket elimination to claim her title.

Whitener was rolling until she came across a blazing Jennifer Bedell in the semi-finals. Bedell knocked off Whitener, who went on to win third place, and then Holly Schwedler in the final round to to claim the event title.

With the ProSolo Finale complete, Monday is the autocross god’s day of rest before Tire Rack Solo Nationals begins on Tuesday.
