What You Need to Know About ’25 Solo Nats Run Days and Registration

It’s only April and we’ve already got the Solo Nats on our mind. Don’t blame us, though, blame adulting! With the Sept. 1-5, 2025, Tire Rack SCCA® Solo® National Championships less than five months away (!!!), we know you’re itching to submit work vacation request forms and dig into travel logistics – all the stuff responsible grownups love to do. Fortunately, we’ve got just enough info available for you to do exactly that.

While we can’t yet tell you the exact time of day your class will be running at the 2025 Solo Nationals, we do know which days most classes will be hitting the concrete at Lincoln Airpark in Lincoln, NE, during that first week of September. We can also unveil the dates and times for the two registration tiers (that’s right, just two this year), plus we can keep you abreast of a few other key dates.

Considering the sheer magnitude of the event, sorting the details of your Solo National Championships journey is critical. Last year, the Solo Nats saw nearly 1,300 entrants – forcing an event wait list early on. While we’re upping the entry cap to 1,400 for 2025, there’s little reason to believe there won’t be a repeat performance this year once registration opens – especially considering the event theme we’ve got planned.

Also of note is that to help keep run days balanced, Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday/Friday run groups will be capped at 700 competitors each. More details on that will be shared soon, but in the meantime, competitors should start lining up their rides for Nationals to ensure they’re in the correct class when registration opens.

Before we get to the registration dates, let’s look at which classes will run Tuesday/Wednesday, and which will lay claim to Thursday/Friday. Individual heats will be determined later, but these preliminary run days will get your planning underway.

Dates to Know

While you haven’t asked, we’ll tell you: This year’s entry fee will be just $224 until the July 30 rate increase. From July 30, forward, the entry fee will increase to $325 and the cancellation fee for those who registered prior to July 30 will become $100. Refunds will not be available for those who register on or after July 30.

Online registration closes entirely on Monday, Aug. 25 – one week prior to the event. Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. ET is the last opportunity to cancel and receive a refund, less the $100 cancellation fee (for those who registered prior to July 30).

Now for what you did ask for.

There are two Solo Nats registration tiers this year, with most drivers signing up during Open Registration. Here’s how it breaks down:

Tier 1
Tier 1 registrants include 2024 Solo National Champions, 2025 event chiefs, and those in the 100 Percenters club (this is a group of members who have been at every Solo Nationals ever held) and Silver Circle (attended Solo Nats 25 times or more). Tier 1 also applies to those who finished on the podium at last year’s Solo Nats (that’s the top three – not all trophy winners qualify), or were winners in supplemental or undersubscribed classes and didn’t officially win a National Championship.

This group can register beginning Tuesday, June 10, at 3 p.m. Central Time.

Open Registration
If you don’t qualify for Tier 1, your event registration begins Tuesday, June 17, at 3 p.m. Central Time.

More You Need to Know

That’s a whole lot of dates and times, but it’s all stuff you’ll want to mark down, because snoozing at the registration line can cost you a whole lot of fun.

Something else you’ll want to know is the theme for the 2025 Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships so you can dress the part. It’s something we’d love to reveal now…but we won’t. It might drive you crazy that we’d tease it, then not go through with the big reveal – but all you need is just a little patience, because that announcement will take center stage in about a week.
