In one month, the Tire Rack SCCA® Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty will host its seventh annual event– where has the time gone? But while Time Trials Nationals (the pinnacle of competition for SCCA’s Time Trials National Tour) is on our doorstep, huge news has been announced that affects Time Trials Nationals in 2025.
From day one, the goal of Time Trials Nationals was to offer a consistent measuring stick for all Time Trials competitors, and NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY, was the ideal partner to set the bar. Over the last seven years, thousands of drivers have flocked to NCM for the Time Trials Nationals, setting increasingly impressive track records that are at the top of the sport. Chasing new challenges is what motorsports is all about, though, which is why Time Trials Nationals will be moving to Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, PA, in 2025.
Next year’s Time Trials Nationals will take place on Sept. 18-21, 2025, and will feature three days of competition, thus reducing the time and cost commitment for participants. The versatile facility also offers the ability to bring fresh ideas and new competition formats to the playing field, with multiple track layouts presenting thrilling challenges and – most importantly – the potential for even more fun.
“Pitt Race has been a great track for SCCA, with the Time Trials National Tour and Track Night in America programs being very successful there,” says SCCA Vice President of Experiential Programs Heyward Wagner. “SCCA has a great Region in Steel Cities to partner with to make for an incredible 2025 Time Trials Nationals experience. We’re definitely looking forward to building the next chapter for Time Trials Nationals.”
While the facility is changing for 2025, some things will remain the same. Last year, Grassroots Motorsports (GRM) played a key role in bringing a new thrill to Time Trials Nationals when it hosted the Ultimate Track Car Challenge alongside TTN. UTCC will return in 2025 – but that’s not all. GRM plans to up the ante with even more on-track excitement (more info on that at a later date).
While Time Trials Nationals is departing NCM, SCCA’s National Time Trials program is most certainly not.
“I’d like to thank NCM Motorsports Park for what it has brought to the program,” Wagner says. “NCM was instrumental in launching SCCA’s reimagined Time Trials program, and we will return in May 2025 for a Time Trials National Tour, where drivers will continue to challenge the most significant record book in the program.”
