This month, 124 members of the Sports Car Club of America® celebrate a milestone anniversary of 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, or 70 years. This is no easy accomplishment, either, as a lot happens in life that can distract from having #funwithcars, especially over a quarter century or more.

To that end, most notable this month are the anniversaries of two members in particular. Harry M. Ward III of Northwestern Ohio Region has been a member for 65 years, joining the Club in June 1959. Meanwhile, Wm E. Wuesthoff of Milwaukee Region is celebrating 70 years of membership after joining in June 1954.

Out of this month’s grouping, the year that celebrates the most continuously returning members is 1989, with 38 members retaining their membership cards. Often, it’s the 25-year member listing that boasts the most recurring memberships, but this month, 1989 is the year that gets the kudos with 35 years of membership.

Beyond that, a few names of note this month include past Club Racing Board (CRB) chairman Jim Wheeler (celebrating 50 years of membership), as well as Grassroots Motorsports’s Tim Suddard and 2023 SCCA Member of Excellence recipient Earl Hurlbut (both with 40 years of membership).
