Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth, especially when that gift is a Flash Prize opportunity to win an amazing Mustang Prize Pack and more thanks to SCCA Foundation’s fundraising effort.
As part of SCCA Foundation’s three-day Skip Barber Racing School sweepstakes, a special Flash Prize contest will be conducted from Jan. 4-11, 2023.
Those who make donations through the sweepstakes page within that timeframe will be in the running for the Mustang Prize Pack consisting of:
- A 1:64 scale of the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 featured in the “John Wick” movie. That’s the Hollywood Series 18 diecast model by Greenlight, which is super cool!
- A hardcover version of Mike Mueller’s “Complete Book of Ford Mustang: Every Model Since 1964.”
- A Mark Feldstein Mustang Clock with engine sound, featuring a clockface with 12 legendary Mustangs from the 1960s to present day.
- A 20-ounze, double-wall, vacuum insulated Ford Mustang travel tumbler with lid.
- Buckle-Down Men’s Bifold Mustang Tri-Bar Stripe/GT Motor Blueprint wallet made of premium vegan leather.
This special Mustang Prize Pack, valued at nearly $155, is up for grabs only to those who make donations through the sweepstakes page between Jan. 4-11, 2023. And whether or not you win the Mustang Prize Pack, you’ll still be in the running for the sweepstakes’ three-day Skip Barber Racing School grand prize.
As if the Flash Prize wasn’t incentive enough to make a donation, there’s also a 30-percent bonus in sweepstakes entries for donations made during the Flash Prize window. Just use promo code "FLASHBONUS" when making a donation through the sweepstakes link button below.
The Mustang Prize Pack winner will be selected five days after the Flash Prize window closes, although it will still be possible to made donations and participate in the sweepstakes for the grand prize through 5 p.m. EST on Jan. 18, 2023, with the drawing taking place on Jan. 26.

The Big Barber Prize
Through this fundraising sweepstakes, SCCA Foundation is offering one lucky person the opportunity to attend a three-day Skip Barber Racing School – the legendary training program that has helped many of the world's top racers. This three-day school can lead to an SCCA Road Racing Novice Permit, be used to enhance core driving techniques before the upcoming season, or simply serve as a fantastic motorsport adventure.
The Skip Barber three-day GT School grand prize winner will wheel a Mustang GT around one of many well-known circuits Skip Barber Racing School visits each year. That alone is valued at $6,395, and the location and date of the training will be determined between the prize winner and Skip Barber Racing School.
Added into this sweepstakes is a Gold Damage Liability Reduction insurance policy, valued at $1,650, which caps driver liability for damage to a vehicle during the school. Then there’s an additional $1,500 in cash to help with travel expenses.
The three-day Skip Barber Racing School curriculum combines classroom sessions with practical hands-on seat time to help students master fundamentals of racing; it also satisfies a prerequisite for those interested in obtaining a Club, professional, or international racing license.
On day one of the school, students spend time in the classroom before heading out on an autocross course where instructors teach how to operate the race car in preparation for on-track training. Students then review the proper racing line, race style downshifting, threshold braking, and cornering techniques.
On the second day, a downshift talk and exercise takes place before “stop box” lapping sessions where students get instant feedback in the race car. Students also do additional braking exercises and learn to read the various racing competition flags used worldwide. After lunch, students have a brake and tech talk before an intense exercise of proper braking techniques.
The last day of instruction at the school incorporates racecraft where students put everything they’ve learned to the test. Included are practice race starts and restarts, passing exercises, and plenty of open lapping sessions.
Donations for this SCCA Foundation sweepstakes start at $25, which isn’t shabby for a prize valued at $9,545, and includes monies for travel expenses. The winning sweepstakes entry will be drawn and announced on Jan. 26, 2023, during the 2023 SCCA National Convention.
