After 24 years of hosting the Runoffs, 1994 left Road Atlanta and the Atlanta Region without their traditional Fall Championship Races. The solution was a Championship Festival for Regional Classes. The event featured individual races for the IT classes, American Sedan, Club Ford and Club S2000, plus the Sunoco four-hour endure for AS and IT cars.
The name came from the original name for the Runoffs, the American Road Race of Champions.
Since 1994, the ARRC has continued to crown champions in the SCCA Regional Classes and draw drivers from across the country. Nowadays, even drivers in National Classes can join the fun.
Haven’t been? The ARRC is traditionally held the first weekend of November at Road Atlanta. Plan to attend the 2016 ARRC November 4th-6th, 2016.
