TOPEKA, Kan. (Jan. 15, 2009) Sports Car Club of America, Inc. is happy to announce Richard (Rick) Ehret as the organizations new Vice President of Finance and Administration. Ehret comes to SCCA after nine years with QuVIS, Inc., a technology corporation based in Topeka. As controller, Ehret was responsible for all of QuVISs accounting policies and practices. Prior to working for QuVIS, Ehret enjoyed a career in military aviation, serving as a helicopter pilot and aviation maintenance officer in both the U. S. Coast Guard and U. S. Marine Corps. Ehret replaces former finance VP Jeff Dahnert, who was named the clubs new president and CEO in December.Ricks credentials are impeccable, Dahnert said. Im well aware of the fiscal challenges this club faces, especially in the current economy, but Im confident that he has the experience and insight to ensure we remain financially sound. In addition to creating and overseeing financial strategies for SCCA, Ehret will also serve a similar role with subsidiary SCCA Pro Racing. Its a real pleasure to be on board, Ehret said. This is a rather unique company. Jeffs guidance will be helpful as I settle in, but Im excited to bring a fresh perspective to the club. This is an excellent opportunity for me and Im looking forward to learning more about SCCA. A Topeka resident, Ehret earned an undergraduate degree and M.B.A. from the University of South Dakota and is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. -30-
