If you retain only one piece of information from this article, it should be that Tier 1 registration and Test-n-Tune reservations for the Sept. 1-5, 2025, Tire Rack SCCA® Solo® National Championships (which takes place in Lincoln, NE) begin June 10 at 3 p.m. CT.
If you’re able to retain more details, then know that Tier 1 registration applies to 2024 National Championship winners, 2024 Solo Nats podium winners (that’s top three trophy winners in each class), 2024 class winners (supplemental and undersubscribed classes), 2025 Solo Nationals Chiefs, 100 Percenters, and Silver Circle members.
If you don’t fall into the Tier 1 registration bracket, you’ll register during Tier 2 – that takes place June 17 at 3 p.m. CT.
For Tier 1 and Tier 2, the cost of registration is $224.

What’s that? You can retain even more information? Well then – Test-n-Tune reservations for Solo Nationals open on the same day as Tier 1 registration (June 10 in case you forgot), but at 5 p.m. CT. The cost for the Test-n-Tune is $50 for four runs during a specific one-hour slot, with $10 of that entry fee going to SCCA Foundation to support Tire Rack Street Survival Schools. Note that drivers are able to purchase more than a single one-hour time slot, but a single vehicle may not be entered more than once within the same hour (in other words, drivers and codrivers looking for eight runs will have to register for two time slots).
You want more information to remember? Apparently, your youth wasn’t as wasted as ours, which means your memory is way better than … what were we saying … can’t remember …
Ahh yes, tidbit number four (and the reason this article’s title actually makes sense): The theme for the 2025 SCCA Solo National Championships is rock-n-roll. We told you this already (and knowing you, you probably remembered it). Since that original announcement, we’ve also spent waaaay too much time shopping for what we’re going to wear during the event – and we bet Kevin Dietz has put more time than that into his next golf cart and car graphic designs.

There are also entry fee increases to think about, plus cancellation fees, and more. Tell you what – we’ll put all of this information into a format for people like us who have short attention spans:
- June 10 at 3 p.m. CT: Tier 1 registration opens
- June 10 at 5 p.m. CT: Test-n-Tune registration opens
- June 17 at 3 p.m. CT: Tier 2 registration opens
- July 30 at 12:01 a.m. CT: Entry fee increases to $325 (Those registering with the higher entry fee are not eligible to receive a refund)
- July 30 at 12:01 a.m. CT: Cancellation fee increases to $100 (for those registered prior to July 30 and cancelled between July 30 and Aug. 29)
- 25 at 3 p.m. CT: Online registration closes
- 29 at 7 p.m. CT: This is the last day to cancel and receive a refund, less a cancellation fee of $100 (for those who registered prior to July 30)
Consider that bullet-pointed list of dates to be a kind of stairway to Solo heaven – put them all in your calendar so you don’t forget.
