Voting began just a few weeks ago, yet here we are already nearing the finish line. With voting hitting the gas on March 31, 2025, and concluding less than a month later on April 28, competition for the SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Motorsports Race is more akin to a sprint race than an enduro – but this competition is also a team sport, meaning we need your help to score a podium finish.

Last year was the first time SCCA’s Runoffs had appeared in the running for USA Today’s Best Motorsports Race, with our winner-take-all championship road race pulling off an impressive fourth-place finish in its debut. This year, we’re racing for a podium – and since voting is free, you’re allowed to vote every day, and there are 50,000 SCCA members, there’s no reason we can’t pull this off.

Not that getting on this podium is easy. The competition includes NHRA U.S. Nationals, Chili Bowl, Indianapolis 500, the Daytona 500, and more. Last year, we finished just behind Sick Week, NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals, and King of the Hammers – not bad company, for sure.
