DirtFish RallyCross Out on the Town!

Topeka, Kansas, will be the capital of down-and-dirty racing Oct. 20-22 when 2017 DirtFish RallyCross National Championship drivers roll into town for three days of action at Heartland Park Topeka.  And while things will be jumpin’ at the track most of the day, there’s plenty to do in Topeka to keep things jumpin’ at night.

This will be the first time ever the DirtFish RallyCross National Championship has been held in Topeka.  So, below is a short overview of some activities going on in Topeka to keep competitors entertained throughout the weekend.

- Happy Basset Brewing Company – Anniversary Party

Saturday October 21st, 1pm-1am - Two live bands at the Happy Basset! First is Urban Safari Reggae Band starting off at 1pm! Second band will be Chance Encounter! Four Guys Food Truck and Big Boyz Food Truck will be there, too!

- Uncle Bo’s Blues Bar – Zac Harmon Band
(Ramada Topeka Downtown Hotel; 420 SE 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66607)
October 20-21, 8:30pm-11:30pm - Zac Harmon is an award-winning guitarist, organist, singer, and songwriter whose distinctive style combines the best of old-school soul-blues artists with modern lyrics and themes that bring the blues into a new century.

- Gary’s Berries Fall Festival – Corn Maze & Games
(5991 17th St., Grantville, KS)
Oct. 20, 5pm-10pm; Oct. 21, 10am-10pm - Gary's Berries is a place where fun begins and memories never end. Located eight miles east of Topeka, Gary's Berries is a fall destination with the best Corn Maze in Kansas! Friday night fireworks start at 9pm!

Kansas State Capitol
(SW 8th & SW Van Buren, Topeka, KS 66612)
While not open to the public at night, it’s still cool to see and climb the stairs. The Kansas State Capitol has served as the capital of Kansas since it became a state in 1861. The dome, at 304 feet, is taller than the United States Capitol dome.

- Blind Tiger Brewery and Restaurant

Friday – Sunday 11am-12am - The Blind Tiger Brewery features steak, pasta, seafood, BBQ and hand-crafted beer.

- The Wheel Barrel

Friday-Saturday 11am-12am, Sunday 10am-3pm - Gourmet grilled cheese, house-made soups, and a full bar featuring craft beer and beer garden.

- Bobos Drive In
(2300 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS)
Daily 11am-8pm - A classic, old drive-in that has been operating in Topeka, Kansas since 1948. There is a small area with counter or table service, but half of the customers are served by the car-hops. Bobo's Drive In was featured on the “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” show on the Food Network.

- College Hill Pizza Pub

Daily 11am-3am - Locally owned operated restaurant featuring 10" one-topping pizzas. Every pizza is built right in front of your eyes, with over 2.7 billion topping combinations to choose from. Beer and hard soda served.

- Banjo’s Café

- The Burger Stand at Collage Hill

Daily 11am-2am - Gourmet burgers and beers. Features outdoor patio seating, seating for over 150 and two fully-stocked bars - one of which is in the back-dining area referred to as "The Pong Bar". The Pong Bar offers ping pong tables, pool tables, foosball table, a pinball machine and digital bar gaming.
