Autoweek: Lead by Example

SCCA is largely a cast of weekend warriors, tinkering on their cars around their “real jobs” to be able to enjoy their hobbies.

To serve that group, it helps to be one of them, according to Steven Cole Smith at Autoweek.

For the first time in a long while the president of SCCA actively competes in SCCA events. Along with Noble, Vice President and COO Eric Prill also raced at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs presented by Garmin VIRB. Five staff members competed at the Tire Rack Solo National Championship Presented by Garmin VIRB. This participation keeps the staff connected with the membership.

All of this has happened in a busy year for the Club. Track Night in America driven by Tire Rack was launched, and the Runoffs continued to move locations every year – this year to the World’s Center of Racing.
