Paddock Parking & Shuttle
With nearly 900 driver entries, workers and guests the infield paddock will be very full and street car parking is limited. Each driver will receive ONE (1) infield parking pass (labeled Paddock/Lot 7) at SCCA Registration. If you can fit your street vehicle in your assigned paddock space, please do so. If you can’t, there will be a gravel lot in the Main Paddock area located north of the Rubber Row (tire companies) that can be used with your infield paddock pass. If that lot is full, you will need to park in Lot 7 on the North side of the Speedway, enter Gate 10 off of 30th Street. If you or any of your crew needs additional parking passes, you may request Lot 7 ONLY parking passes from SCCA Registration. There will be a free event shuttle that will stop at Lot 7 and various points within the infield. The shuttle will run from September 25 – October 3 during the following hours:

Be Prepared
Here are a few tips to help your Indy Runoffs arrival goes smooth…
- Have a current SCCA membership and competition license.
- Know the rules – There are unique rules and procedures at the Runoffs so review the Supplemental Regulations before you arrive.
- Make sure your profile on MotorsportReg.com is accurate and up-to-date.
- Make sure your car has all of the required decals, like the SCCA Summit Road Racing decal, weight, restrictor size, class designation and a clean, contrasting number.
- Cars will need to be pushed on and off the scales, so have a helper to push.
- If you need a new logbook issued or an annual inspection, try to get that completed before you arrive.
A Crown Jewel of Motorsports History
It would be crazy for motorsports fans and competitors to spend multiple days at IMS and not visit a true crown jewel in motorsports history — the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. The staff is ready and willing to welcome all of you to one of the world’s premier motorsports collections. Find more information, including hours of operation in this article. Hot tip: If you visit on September 27 or 28, you'll get a $5 discount!
Monday Night Kick-Off Party with The Indigos
We’re going to rock the Pagoda Plaza Monday night, September 27! Join us for the kick-off party to celebrate the Runoffs with our SCCA family. A dinner buffet and drinks will be served beginning at 6:30 pm and will feature fan favorites - fried chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, mac & cheese, corn on the cob and more! Local band, The Indigos, will take to the stage at 7:30 pm following the track walk. You won’t want to miss it!
2nd Annual Charity Golf Cart Parade
Back by popular demand, the 2nd annual charity golf cart parade will make its return on Wednesday, September 29 and lead into another favorite, the SCCA Block Party. This year proceeds will benefit Indianapolis’ Riley Children’s Foundation as well as Lemons of Love, an organization that provides care packages to people affected by cancer. We were blown away with your creativity last year and can’t wait to see you take it up a notch! The parade will step-off from grid at approximately 6:30 pm. We will make a pass by victory circle where our expert cart announcers will make the parade call. We will then make our way around the paddock ending up at a block party stop. So it’s time to start planning, get out those arts and crafts supplies and let those creative juices flow! Your goal is to raise money for your cart. Drivers, workers, crews, friends and family will “vote” with their dollars and the cart that raises the most money will be crowned the 2021 National Golf Cart Champion and win a major award! Teams can register early online at www.scca.com/cartparade. Once you arrive at the track, swing by the SCCA Staff Office on the Pagoda Plaza to pick up your cart number.
SCCA Member Advantage
The Runoffs can be hot, or cold, or wet, or all three – we all know this. As an SCCA member perk, it is possible to bypass all of that and watch the Runoffs in a 71-degree room with a view.
The SCCA Member Advantage includes a space in the SCCA suite overlooking pit lane and the start/finish line at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Inside, members will have televisions showing the race broadcast, complimentary non-alcoholic drinks including water, tea and soda, mid-morning and afternoon snacks, and, just maybe, some special swag. While alcoholic beverages aren’t available inside, the bar next to the nearby concession stand will be open during race days.
Tickets for the Member Advantage suite are limited and being sold on-site. Wristbands will be sold to only 80 members per day and are available for $50 for all three race days, and $25 for each individual race day (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Purchases can be made at Driver Information on-site at IMS, and proof of valid membership is required.
Did you know? Hagerty is back for another year as the official sponsor of Runoffs Race Days! Hagerty's looking forward to joining us at IMS this year, and — bonus — they can provide affordable Guaranteed Value coverage for your race car, trailer, parts and tools. Travel confidently knowing that you're covered, including in the paddock, in transit to or from the track, in storage, or at your race prep shop. Log into your SCCA Member Benefits page and click on “insurance” to access a member quote link or call Hagerty at 877-922-9701.
Program & Category Meetings
Program and category meetings will be held throughout each qualifying day. Please check the schedule for times. Meetings will be held in the North Chalet on Pagoda Plaza. The HST/Runoffs program meetings will be an open forum to share ideas and discuss general topics related to the Hoosier Super Tour and the Runoffs. To help the committees prepare, please submit your topics and questions in advance using the online topic form.
