Kevin Dayo Joins SCCA Staff as Director of Information Technology

In early January, the Sports Car Club of America® began its search for a Director of Information Technology who would lead, direct, and coordinate all day-to-day activities of the Information Technology department to develop and execute the Club’s strategic information technology plan. This position would also be a part of the SCCA’s Executive Team, working alongside the Club’s President and CEO and other department heads to help lead the SCCA into the future. On March 3, 2025, SCCA proudly welcomed Kevin Dayo into this role.

Dayo is an award-winning technology executive with over 20 years of experience driving innovation, transformation, and cost optimization within complex hardware and software environments. Known for delivering significant financial impact, Dayo has generated over $30 million in savings through avionics, SaaS, and infrastructure optimization. He has demonstrated a proven ability to lead high-stakes projects, close multi-million-dollar deals, and turn around underperforming teams.

His leadership extends across cross-functional teams, product development, CloudOps, and AI automation, with a focus on innovation and operational excellence, working for industry giants such as Google, Sprint, H&R Block, and even collaborating with NASA, among other prominent organizations.

Dayo holds an MBA in Engineering & Technology from North Central University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Systems Design from Kansas State University. Kevin is a certified PMP, ScrumMaster, and AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, with expertise in CloudOps, DevOps, QA automation, and advanced security protocols.

“As the new Director of IT at SCCA, I am honored to lead our technology initiatives in support of innovation, efficiency, and excellence,” Dayo said. “Together, we will harness the power of technology to enhance motorsports, streamline operations, and drive the future of SCCA forward.”

Based out of Topeka, KS, Dayo will work out of SCCA’s headquarters and report directly to SCCA’s President and CEO Mike Cobb.

“We are extremely proud to welcome Kevin to the SCCA Executive Team,” said Cobb. “The Club has made impressive strides into new technologies in recent years, with certain projects resulting in increased membership with lower retention costs to the SCCA – which means a stronger Club for everyone. As we continue to expand our digital presence, we also need to ensure the SCCA’s information technology systems work securely, consistently, and efficiently, and I know that Kevin is up to the task.”
