The Tire Rack SCCA® Shootout is the hottest new game in town. Which town? Probably one near you! This six-event series travels the country delivering top-notch competition to the motorsports masses – and it’s not always the same kind of competition. The inaugural event kicked off in Las Vegas and saw drivers test their mettle on the autocross course AND the road course, with their fastest times added together to create their overall score. Meanwhile, on May 2-4, 2025, the Shootout heads to St. Charles Family Arena just outside of St. Louis, where drivers will experience a weekend of pure autocross heaven as they battle for top honors in a select few classes.

What’s in Store
Round 2 of the SCCA Shootout at The Family Arena’s massive lot allows for challenging and aggressive Solo® course designs, meaning drivers will need to be at the top of their game if they intend to claim a trophy finish.
Class competition will be held both Saturday and Sunday, with drivers taking three runs on Saturday morning, followed by a few more runs Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning competition brings two more runs, with the driver’s best time from Saturday adding to Sunday’s fastest run to determine the finishing positions.
But that’s not all.
Sunday’s class competition will set the stage for single elimination rounds of 16-32, depending on category size, crowning category champs. Each category winner will then face off to become the event champion.
Can I Come?
Not all SCCA Solo categories are invited to the SCCA Shootout. Shootout competition is limited to Street Touring, Classic American Muscle (CAM), Xtreme Street, Club Spec, and Solo Spec Coupe. But, as luck would have it, many other classes easily slot into those categories, so don’t skip this event just because your car’s not a perfect fit.

What’s also limited is the number of entries per event. The May 2-4 Tire Rack SCCA Shootout at St. Charles Family Arena will be capped at 200 – and with an entry fee of only $125 for two days of competition, this one is going to fill up fast.

The Tire Rack SCCA Shootout also involves a nationwide points chase, allowing competitors to bring their best top scores from multiple event weekends, so while it’s great to enter one Shootout weekend, it’s even better when you tackle more.
As luck would have it, “more” is right around the corner with the May 16-18, 2025, Tire Rack SCCA Shootout at NCM Motorsports Park. That weekend sees both autocross and Time Attack over two competition days – and similar to the St. Charles event, there’s an entry cap, so you’ll want to sign up soon.
