We’ve been telling you about this since August 2024, and now it’s nearly here: The SCCA® National Convention is about to take place! Despite the National Convention kicking off on Jan. 16 and running through the 24th (dates that, if you’ve checked the calendar recently, are very close to right now) it’s also not too late to join the fun, as the 2025 SCCA National Convention is not only free to attend, it’s also virtual, meaning that if you have a computer, tablet, or phone that connects to the internet, there’s no reason not to attend.

An Open Invitation
If you haven’t attended the SCCA National Convention before, know that it’s a can’t-miss event for anyone interested in becoming more involved with the SCCA.
The National Convention houses many (many…many many) sessions that span topics from town halls to round tables, Timing & Scoring, scrutineering, registration, membership growth, insurance, car cleaning, and more (many...many more). In the past, there was a barrier to all of this knowledge, and that was time off work, travel to the event, and registration costs. Now that the Convention is virtual, all of this knowledge is completely free and can even be viewed surreptitiously at work (although we’d never admit to saying that).
This is all in addition to the Convention kick-off events, which include the SCCA Hall of Fame and Awards Presentation, which includes more than the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony for the Class of 2025, but also the presentation of the coveted Member of Excellence and Woolf Barnato Awards.
To that end, this year’s National Convention theme is “Invite,” which is what we’re doing right now – we’re inviting you to attend. Even if only one session whets your appetite, register and attend that. You may just find yourself sticking around for more.
If you do register and attend at least one National Convention session, you’ll be automatically entered to win a trip to SCCA’s virtual Prize Closet, which includes real-world prizes from a number of SCCA partners.
