You show us a New Year, and we’ll show you someone who’s made resolutions they’ll never keep. Instead of making an impossible New Year’s resolution, this year you should resolve to simply have more #funwithcars – and there’s no better way to kick the year off than by entering SCCA® RoadRallies. Speaking of which, check out these three upcoming Divisional and National RoadRallies just waiting for you to enter.
First up in the New Year is the Jan. 11, 2025, Son of Sno* Drift Divisional Tour Rally. This rally, which marks the 27th running of the event, is a straightforward Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) Tour rally with no traps. Teams will traverse roughly 175 miles of largely unpaved roads in Michigan’s Oakland and Livingston counties, with all GPS passage controls using the Richta app.
The event kicks off at Aubree’s Pizzeria & Grill in South Lyon, MI, with check-in coming at 11 a.m. and the first car hitting the trail at 12:15 p.m.
The entry fee is $55 for SCCA members, with non-members being able to purchase a weekend membership.
If you can’t make that rally (or even if you can), you should try your hand at the Yucatan Winter Safari National Tour Rally, taking place Jan. 25, 2025.
This Land O’Lakes Region-hosted event takes place in Winona, MN, located in the southeastern corner of the state. Nestled in bluff country on the Mississippi River, the area is known for not only the Sugar Loaf, but also fun topography that leads to – lucky for everyone – fantastic RoadRally challenges.
Last year’s event spanned some 200 miles over gravel roads and through hardwood forests, winding through Winona, Fillmore, and Houston counties. Last year’s event – like this year’s event – was also perfect for RoadRally experts and newcomers alike.
Registration is $75 per car for SCCA members, with weekend memberships available.

The final RoadRally of February that we’d like to bring to your attention is the Feb. 22, 2025, Michigan Winter Divisional Tour Rally. Hosted by Detroit Region, this TSD rally begins its adventure at Ruckle’s Pier in Clare, MI, and while there’s no water near that restaurant, there are fantastic roads around Clare that will challenge anyone who chooses to enter this RoadRally.
More information regarding this rally will be available soon.

There are more RoadRallies on their way, too! The initial 2025 schedule shows seven National and Divisional SCCA RoadRallies taking place between June and the end of August, with more on the way.
“The coming year already has 10 Divisional and National events slated, with more to come, including the announcement of the 2025 United States RoadRally Challenge®,” says SCCA Director of Rally/Solo Rick Myers. “The best part is, whether you’re a seasoned competitor or looking to try out a RoadRally for the first time, all of these upcoming events will hold something for you.”
