’25 SCCA National Convention Schedule Showcases Many Fun Opportunities

Have you ever been to a work conference or convention where you’ve looked at the schedule of sessions and been like, ugh, can’t it just be over? It’s a snoozefest that couldn’t end soon enough, everyone knows it, and all you can think about is getting home. Well, the virtual SCCA® National Convention is just like that – other than the days are packed to the gills with sessions you actually WANT to attend, and the thought of leaving early never occurs to you because the convention is online, meaning you’re already at home.

Want proof that the SCCA National Convention is a can’t-miss event? These newly released session details show exactly why.

While the online (and FREE!) 2025 SCCA National Convention kicks off on Thursday, Jan. 16, with the Annual Meeting and Road Racing awards (followed the next day by the Convention kick off and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Club awards, like the Woolf Barnato and Member of Excellence awards), the event really hits the gas on Saturday, Jan. 18, at noon CT. Come Saturday, SCCA members get to attend the Solo Program Direction and Town Hall session, followed by similar sessions for Road Racing, RoadRally, RallyCross, and Time Trials. All of those are followed by Experiential Awards (ie: celebrating top honors for Solo, RoadRally, and RallyCross), then a Board of Directors gathering, a Stewards session on Timing & Scoring, then Region Awards.

That’s just day one!

Highlighting Sunday’s schedule is a Club Spec Town Hall, a Road Racing Town Hall, and an event marketing session, to name a few. On Monday, members then get to attend a session on Race Experience events, Solo course design, Flagtronics implementation, and more.

Throughout the 2025 SCCA National Convention, which runs through Friday evening, Jan. 24, there are sessions that are akin to the famously fruitful “hallway gatherings” of years’ past, where Club members gather just to chat. In these sessions we’ve dubbed “office hours,” the overarching subject is set (like at 3 p.m. CT on Thursday, Jan. 23, the office hours topic is “Solo”), but outside of that, the floor is open. Anyone with a question even tangentially related to autocross can take the mic, with answers coming from SCCA Staff or other Region members who are in the session – or both.

Looking for a Road Racing office hours session? That’ll be Monday evening, Jan. 20. How about Time Trials? Office hours for that comes mid-day Tuesday, Jan. 21. Got marketing questions? SCCA’s Marketing Department will host two office hours, one on Monday and the other on Thursday. Meanwhile, RoadRally adds a happy hour to its office hours, as that session just about marks the end of the National Convention, coming at 5 p.m. CT on Friday, Jan. 24.
