2025 U.S. Majors Tour Calendar Includes New Destinations

A mega season of Summit Racing Equipment SCCA® Road Racing excitement is right around the corner, and the 2025 SCCA U.S. Majors Tour® calendar certainly proves that. With 38 events scheduled at 32 tracks spanning the country from January to August – a few of those circuits being new for 2025 – racers will certainly have their work cut out for them when choosing which events to attend.

For Runoffs®-eligible classes, the U.S. Majors Tour serves as a qualifying pathway to SCCA’s National Championship, taking place for a second-straight year at Road America in Wisconsin. However, the 2025 U.S. Majors Tour is far from same-ol’, same-ol’. Along with a handful of new venues, some special opportunities have been created for Formula Vee®, Formula F and Formula 600 (FV, FF, and F6) drivers thanks to “Bonus Majors” to be held at select Regional meets taking place in February, May, July, and August.

From Connecticut to Southern California, and Washington to South Florida, the countrywide U.S. Majors Tour provides quality competition and track time at a variety of facilities. There are must-visit stops such as Pitt Race, Road Atlanta, and Summit Point Motorsports Park, to name a few; as well as favored “club” venues such as GingerMan Raceway, Pacific Raceways, and Pueblo Motorsports Park.

Of particular note for 2025 are the addition of events at Motorsport Park Hastings in Nebraska, Northern California’s Sonoma Raceway, World Wide Technology Raceway just outside of St. Louis, and Brainerd International Raceway in Minnesota. Drivers should also be aware that Pennsylvania’s Pocono Raceway and Thunderhill Raceway Park in California are not on the 2025 U.S. Majors Tour calendar.

The very first U.S. Majors Tour event of 2025 happens Jan. 3-5 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in South Florida. Now is the time to start prepping race cars and getting things in order, which includes completion of U.S. Majors Tour series registration.

About “Bonus Majors”

Drivers of FV, FF, and F6 cars are absolutely invited to compete at any and all U.S. Major Tour events that are not part of the Hoosier Super Tour. Exceptions to this are the Buttonwillow Raceway Park (Feb. 22-23) and Portland International Raceway (May 11-12) Super Tours, which will indeed include a run group for FV, FF, and F6 drivers.

As a way to offer the FV, FF, and F6 community a competition experience at additional pro-level circuits, special “Bonus Majors” are on the 2025 calendar that will include space for FV, FF, and F6 racers during events otherwise considered Regional. The Bonus Majors dates and locations are as follows:

  • Feb. 8-9, 2025: Sebring International Raceway, Sebring, FL, Central Florida Region
  • May 3-4, 2025: VIRginia International Raceway, Alton, VA, North Carolina Region
  • May 31-Jun 1, 2025: Watkins Glen International, Watkins Glen, NY, Finger Lakes Region
  • July 18-20, 2025: Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Braselton, GA, Atlanta Region
  • Aug 9-10, 2025: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OH, Ohio Valley Region

Just as with every other U.S. Major Tour event, Bonus Majors weekends count toward meeting National Championship Runoffs qualifying criteria for FV and FF competitors. Those events will also count toward U.S. Majors Tour points tabulations for F6, FV, and FF participants.
