It’s the eve of National Championship season here at the Sports Car Club of America®, with the action kicking off on the last weekend of August with the Tire Rack SCCA ProSolo® Finale. The first week of September brings the Tire Rack SCCA Solo® National Championships, late September houses the National Championship Runoffs®, and come mid-October, all eyes will be on the RallyCross National Championship. Then there’s the Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty in late October and the United States RoadRally Challenge® in early November. Yet this is only the tip of the motorsports iceberg – as you’ll find out on Aug. 21, 2024 at 7 p.m. CT, during the next SCCA President’s Update.
Broadcast live online, SCCA President and CEO Mike Cobb will address the membership as the Club heads into this packed season, recapping the season so far, and what’s to come. The President’s Update goes deeper, though, offering a glimpse at the mid-year status of the SCCA, as well as how participation is affecting the bottom line.
“This has been no ordinary year,” Cobb said. “While the Club has witnessed sold-out and record participation at several events in 2024, that’s not the entire story. Members are encouraged to register for the President’s Update and tune in to find out more about what we’re doing to ensure the SCCA stays strong for the years and decades to come.”
The Aug. 21 President’s Update will take place online and is open to every SCCA member. Preregistration is required, with Cobb’s update expected to take approximately one hour.
