Clean Up Your Car before Cleaning up the Competition

In the Sports Car Club of America®, the competition season never ends. The moment you think you’ve got it all under control, the Tire Rack SCCA Solo® National Championships, National Championship ® Runoffs presented by Sunoco, RallyCross National Championship, Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials National Tour Powered by Hagerty, United States RoadRally Challenge®, and more come up. And that’s exactly where we are in the year – you’ve competed locally, and now thousands of you are about to vie for a National Championship title. One word of advice, though: Don’t clean up the competition in a dirty car.

SCCA recently announced its partnership with Malco Automotive, maker of high-quality automotive cleaning products (and more) – and this was no mistake. We’re here for the competition and fun, but even the most hardcore of RallyCross cars should be clean when it rolls into Hollytree this October.

  • Citra Clean Aerosol: This is an awesome rubber remover and general-purpose cleaner.

  • Duplex Wipes: These two-sided cleaning wipes are great for cleaning hands, tools, parts, and more. You know you get greasy – this is the solution.
  • Hand Cleaner with Pumice: When you’re coated with so much grime and grease that even the Duplex Wipes can’t cut it, head for this hand cleaner that won’t dry your skin.
  • Tire Mounting Lube: There’s a bunch of hardcore SCCA members who own their own tire changers, and for them, there’s Malco’s Tire Mounting Lube. This is an industry best lubricant for mounting tires, with a clear formula that won’t leave behind a white residue.
  • A&L: Struggling to remove old decals on your car’s paint? A&L is the tool you need.
  • Rubberized Undercoating: Hiding rust or looking to protect your car from damage? This Rubberized Undercoating is the way to go.
  • Penetrating Oil: Stuck nut or bolt? This should be your go-to loosener.
