The virtual 2023 SCCA National Convention concludes this week (FYI: recorded sessions are now available for on-demand viewing on Whova), but the SCCA National Convention isn’t the Club’s only convention – in fact, there are five in-person Divisional conventions on the calendar that you’ll want to attend should they align with your Division of record.
From educational sessions to training, social gatherings, award banquets, and more, these conventions all boast unique offerings, running the gamut when it comes to reasons to attend. A bonus is that at least five representatives from the SCCA National Office are currently slated to attend each of these conventions, offering attendees direct access to resources beyond their Region and Division.
Southeast Division Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet
Of the five upcoming gatherings, Southeast Division kicks off the Divisional fun with its Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet at the Sea Palms Resort & Conference Center in St. Simons Island, GA, on Feb. 3-5, 2023.
Per the event organizer: The center point of this year’s convention will again be the Awards Banquet at which all SEDiv SARRC, Solo, Time Trials, and rally champions will receive their awards, plus the SEDiv will honor outstanding members with the Reuter, Fitzgerald, Holland, Webb, Director’s, Worker of the Year, Drivers of the Year, and Bobby Clark Awards.

Northeast Division Convention
Northeast Division’s Feb. 11 Convention at the Radisson Lackawanna Station in Scranton, PA, is set to be another can’t-miss gathering. Sessions will include Region management, membership development, and program support. NEDiv will also present trophies to its 2022 NEDiv Road Racing Series champions and recognize outstanding members within the Division.
Midwest Division Convention
Feb. 17-19, 2023, brings with it Midwest Division’s Convention at the Hilton Garden Inn in Independence, MO. This convention offers Saturday seminars, town halls, an executive meeting, and a banquet, with pricing options for those desiring to attend all or only part of the convention.
Great Lakes Division Spring Training 2023
The bulk of Great Lakes Division’s Spring Training 2023 takes place on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Manchester University Fort Wayne in Fort Wayne, IN, although the Friday night social is also something you should put on your calendar, making this a March 3-4 gathering. This event will feature a jam-packed agenda that will also feature a silent auction, with Great Lakes Division and SCCA Foundation splitting the proceeds.
Central Division Spring Training 2023
The final of the currently planned Divisional conventions is Central Division’s Spring Training 2023. Taking place on March 18-19, 2023, at the Best Western Plus Milwaukee Airport Hotel & Conference Center in Milwaukee, WI, Saturday’s breakfast and lunch are included in the price of admission, with an optional Saturday dinner.
