2014 SCCA Solo Triad Award Winners: Lane Borg

After another year of competition, the SCCA is proud to have the results of the 2014 Solo Triad Award winners! In the same way the ProSolo series rewards those who perform at the top of their class for an entire season, the Triad Award rewards drivers who have been at the top of their class at some of the largest events throughout the year. To qualify, a driver must accomplish three feats in a single class: win one of the States Championship National Tour, Win a Tire Rack Divisional Championship (2009-2011); Win a regular Tire Rack National Tour (2012); Win a Tire Rack Match Tour, Tire Rack Championship Tour(2013), and win the Tire Rack Solo National Championship events. Each winner this year will be featured in their own Solo Matters article.

The first in our 2014 series is Lane Borg, this year's B Street Triad Award winner!

Lane Borg, of San Angelo, Texas, won his second consecutive, and third overall, Solo Triad award in 2014. Borg started his pathway to the title with a B Street class win at the Tire Rack College Station Championship Tour event. His next step toward the award came at the Colorado Match Tour where he was able to leave with the class win. He sealed the deal with a National Championship win at Lincoln by a 0.814-second margin.
