SCCA Classic American Muscle Invitational Challengers Announced

In just a few short days, the SCCA ProFinale will be starting in Lincoln, Nebraska. One thing different this year is the addition of Classic American Muscle (CAM); a class built by the SCCA to made it easy for those running "Pro Touring" style muscle cars to also run under the SCCA classing system. To help promote this, the CAM Class Invitation Challenge will be run this Sunday between Challenge rounds of the Pro Finale.

#69 Craig Worm (Kearney, NE)
Car: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

So you thought legit barnyard finds were just a figment of your imagination? It was a reality for Craig Worm of Kearney, Nebraska. A barn held this matching-numbers '68 RS Camaro with the original 327 and faded Daytona Yellow paint. Craig was determined to do everything he possibly could himself and that's exactly what he did. He painstakingly restored the car to its original glory but left the paint and bodywork to the experts who brought it back to Daytona Yellow. He cruised the car for years as a show-only vehicle, but became tired of that routine. Craig spent a lot of time on Lateral-G.net and Pro-Touring.com where he had been fighting the urge to convert his car to something a little more fun to drive. Finally, he set his car up for the real world of driving with Hotchkis' TVS system. It's all bolt-in, so he can always return it to stock. Now Craig is actually having fun with his car on the road course and Goodguys' Street Challenge Autocross, instead of worrying about it being totally correct.

#94 Don Knop (Lincoln, NE)
Car: 1966 Shelby GTH

#99 Mary Pozzi (Salinas, CA)
Car: 1973 Chevrolet Camaro

Featured in everything from Camaro Performance Magazine to the Gran Turismo gaming franchise, Mary Pozzi is no stranger to racing. A long time autocrosser (35+ years) and multi-time SCCA Solo National Championship winner, Mary has made a name for herself in the automotive world as an incredible driver with one of the baddest Camaros around. Her 1972 Camaro RS is motivated by a Lingenfelter LS7 and is kept on the road by RideTech Coilovers and Triple-Adjustable Shocks, Hotchkis Three-Link Rear Suspension, Sway Bars and Tubular Control Arms.
