When a new registration program comes on the scene it takes some getting used to and unfortunately once we get used to something, we don’t go back and review our information very often to make sure that it is correct. Doesn’t it frustrate you when you check in and they don’t have a tire listed for you and you just KNOW you have one listed on motorsportsreg.com? Or you just KNOW you changed it? Well, this is just a short little article to first of all remind you to check your car information, class and numbers when you register just to be sure that what motorsportreg.com (MSR) has is what you know should be there. Also, while it is not a required field, completing the tire information when you register will save you time when you check in at Nationals and at future National events.
Even if you have registered, you can still complete this little exercise! Come on, it will be FUN!! Log on to MSR. Go to the My Account Tab, then go to “Edit My Information” which is up by your name. From here you can edit any information on your profile which includes your SCCA member number if you did not have one before and now you do or you had one but never entered it, etc. You can also go to the “Garage” and edit your vehicle information. In the “Garage” is where you will add a new car if you need to and/or change the tires that you are running on. This will be important to check before Nationals to make sure you have the correct tire listed. Click “edit” beside the vehicle you are registered in for Nationals and make sure that you have a tire selected (a side note- there are no MG tires listed in MSR so you can put a note on your registration letting me know you are running on MG’s and I will make sure your registration is updated.) And that is it! See, simple! Thank you for your help- you just saved yourself some time at Registration!
