In 2009 both the Tire Rack Solo National Championship and National Championship Runoffs departed from Heartland Park Topeka for new homes. The Runoffs moved to Road America while Solo Nationals found a home at the Lincoln Airpark.

While the Runoffs have transitioned to a location rotation, Solo Nationals have remained in Lincoln. Today’s throwback is a memory from the first year in Lincoln. The subject was also present during Solo Nationals in Salina and Topeka. It’s gone by a few names, but for this visit, it was the CP Bus.
