TOPEKA, Kan. (November 9, 2012) – Two SCCA National Champions took their Runoffs gold medals and are trading them in on a wild week of off-road racing as part of BFGoodrich Tires/Wide Open Excursions “Baja Challenge” team for the 45th anniversary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, Nov. 14-17.

Showroom Stock B National Champ Luke Wilwert and Showroom Stock C winner Michael Crawford each won National Champions last September riding BFGoodrich Tires, making the duo eligible to participate in this year’s event, courtesy of the Official Tire of the SCCA.

The pair recently concluded a test session with the team in preparation for the upcoming race, where they’ll be joined by brothers and off-road racing entries Brad and Roger Lovell, automotive producer Bud Brutsman and Detroit Speed and Engineering co-founder Kyle Tucker.

Each of the remaining team members were selected as part of a fan vote on BFGoodrich Tires’ Facebook page to award Team BFGoodrich members the seats. Team BFGoodrich is an exclusive group of racing enthusiasts, including on- and off-road drivers and car builders.

Each of the drivers in the BFGoodrich Tires/Wide Open Excursions Baja Challenge buggy will be equipped with Master Craft Safety gear.
