Mark Pombo Secures Pole Position in Third Race of Jetta TDI Cup

PORTLAND, Ore. (July 26, 2008) €“ Mark Pombo, Duluth, Ga., completed qualifying with a best lap time of 1:28.946 in order to secure the pole position in Sunday€™s Jetta TDI Cup race at Portland International Raceway. The race, scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m.(PDT), marks the third race and only West Coast stop in the clean diesel series. After winning the inaugural race of the Jetta TDI Cup in Virginia, Pombo is currently ranked third in the series overall.€œI€™ve never been here before and it feels good to come across the country and get on the pole this weekend.
