It’s SCCA voting season, with four of the 13 designated Areas electing a new member of the Board of Directors this year. Two are incumbents running unopposed, but for Areas 3 and 11, an election will elect the Area representative.

Board members serve a three year term. Ballots were mailed to members in good standing as of October 1, 2014 to the addresses on record with the SCCA office for those in Areas with an upcoming election.

Ballots will begin hitting your mailboxes by today, October 15, but please give them at least a week to come through the mail.

Instructions are included with the ballot, but completed ballots should NOT be returned to the SCCA office. Instead, votes will be tallied by Mize Houser & Company. A postage paid return envelope is included with the ballot for your convenience.

If you did not receive a ballot and believe you should have, please contact SCCA Member Services at 800/770-2055. Again, please give time for those ballots to come through the mail before calling Member Services.

Ballots must be returned to Mize Houser & Company by November 17.

The Areas up for election are:

Area 3 Area 3 encompasses part of the Southeast Division, including the Florida, Gulf Coast, Wiregrass, Central Florida and Dixie Regions. Outgoing Director is Robin Langlotz

Area 4 Area 4 encompasses the Great Lakes Division, and each Region contained within it.

Incumbent Director is Stephen Harris running unopposed. According to SCCA By-laws, unopposed elections will be recorded as 1-0 votes and no ballots will be mailed.

Area 9 Area 9 encompasses part of the Northern Pacific Division, including San Francisco and Reno Regions.

Incumbent Director Brian McCarthy is running unopposed.

Area 11 Area 11 encompasses the Southern Pacific Division, including Arizona, Cal Club, Hawaii, San Diego, Las Vegas and Arizona Border Regions.

Outgoing Director is Michael Lewis.
