TOPEKA, Kan. (Oct. 19, 2009) – Sports Car Club of America’s Board of Directors has called for a full review of the post-race procedures from the 2009 SCCA National Championship Runoffs American Sedan race. It also stated that the final results will stand.

The Board acknowledged that post-race procedural and communications issues did a disservice to many competitors and specialty workers participating in the American Sedan race portion of the Runoffs. While it cannot change what transpired, the Board intends for the review to ensure that appropriate procedures, tools and communication lines are in place and utilized as intended to improve the process in the future.

The Board offers its sincere apology for those that may have been adversely affected throughout the post-race process, be it competitor, crew member or worker.

The final results for the 2009 American Sedan National Championship are available here: http://www.scca.com/documents/resultfiles/13506_AS_result_final_revised.pdf.
