Did You Miss the ’24 SCCA Runoffs at Road America? We’ve Got You Covered!

The 2024 SCCA® National Championship Runoffs® presented by Sunoco was one heck of a ride. Chills, spills, and nail-biting action, the 60th anniversary event held at Road America in Plymouth, WI, on Sept. 28-Oct. 6 was next level in so many ways. For example, the Formula Vee® battle for the win came down to 0.059sec. But that wasn’t the margin of victory – that was the gap from first to third. The margin of victory was 0.036sec. Yet that’s just one example of why you need to read all of the Runoffs event recaps below.

Need more teasing?

F Production saw a runaway for the win, with Cliff Ira on the pole and Kevin Ruck blasting to the front. Neither, however, finished the race, although one of them was leading with just three turns to go. Then how about Ethan Goulart in Spec Miata, who didn’t just control the entire Spec Miata race, he also became SCCA’s youngest Runoffs winner ever.

This year’s Runoffs also saw familiar names rise to the top, like Peter Shadowen, Andrew Aquilante, and Marshall Mast, with some who haven’t stood atop the podium for a while, like Michael Varacins. Plus, a number of feel-good stories came from the podium, like in Formula Enterprises® 2 when Adam Jennerjahn became the third generation of his family to stand on the Runoffs podium.

Then there was the fact that only one driver out of 26 won the SCCA Super Sweep.

You’ll find all of the writeups below, but there’s also videos you can watch from the live stream. Those videos are currently separated into individual days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), so if there’s a specific race you’re looking for, you’ll want to check the Runoffs event schedule so you can scroll to the spot you’re looking for. Videos are currently being broken into individual races for easier viewing consumption, with more information coming soon.
